As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.

The candidate shall demonstrate:

 

• Good/high level of expertise and knowledge in industrial automation and the mechanical design of automatic machines and systems.

• Ability to solve moderately complex and complex problems.

 

The candidate will be responsible for the design of products or product parts, meeting deadlines, costs, and the defined project specifications.

 

Main responsibilities and requirements:

 

1. Mechanical design activities, managing the development and modeling phases of machines/systems both independently and in collaboration with the team.

2. Development of project documentation: layouts, assembly modeling, detailed design, generation of bills of materials.

3. Execution and documentation of analysis and validation tests of technical solutions aimed at product improvement and problem solving.

4. Proposal of design solutions to achieve product specifications, aimed at optimizing design times and costs, prototype and series production times and costs, coordinating during project development with the electrical/software/systems design teams and with the planning, supply chain, and production departments.

5. Collaboration with the supply chain team and suppliers to identify systems, sub-assemblies, components, and critical parts suitable for achieving project targets, including through co-design activities.

6. Collaboration with documentation teams to create internal/customer support manuals.

7. Collaboration with prototype assembly / manufacturing teams to support the creation of systems and troubleshoot mechanical and automation issues.

8. Monitoring and reporting on project progress

9. Visits to suppliers/customers to verify solutions adopted or to define mitigation for any issues

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automation Engineering

• Experience in industrial automation and precision mechanics design (minimum 3 years);

• Excellent knowledge of at least one of the following tools: Solidworks, Solidedge, Creo, Catia V5, Inventor, Unigraphics NX, AutoCAD;

• Proficiency in FEM and relevant tools.

• Problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a team

• Multifunctional approach - electronics and mechanics (mechatronics)

• Good knowledge of English

• Willingness to travel internationally.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.


For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
