Job Summary
The Assembler will assemble manufactured products according to specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities- Responsible for all custom brake assemblies.
- Assemble various heavy machinery, fabricated metal products.
- Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to build to specification.
- Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Relevant experience with heavy machinery assembly required.
- Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Must have and be able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience operating hand tools required.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Detail-oriented, consistent workmanship.
- Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of heavy equipment.
- Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
- Superior skill operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed including bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must wear safety glasses, face shield, gloves, and ear protection.
