Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician
Reports To: Department Supervisor
Job Summary: The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for fabricating burner assemblies according to job releases. This role involves assembling mechanical components, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Functional Job Duties:
Fabricate and assemble burner components and systems as per job specifications and engineering drawings.
· Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
· Identify and resolve any issues or defects in the assembly process.
· Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including any modifications or adjustments made.
Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
· Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflow and address any technical challenges.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes and efficiency.
· Eliminate waste of materials when possible (pipe, fittings, etc)
· Respect and care for company tools, equipment, and supplies.
· Clean work area and put up all tools at the end of each shift.
· Receive and follow instruction from shift lead or supervisor.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Mental Requirements:
Must possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company. Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements. Must be able to work under stress. Must be able to handle multiple priorities. Must be able to process paperwork effectively.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to do unaccompanied travel. Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required. Must be able to work overtime as required. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
