In this role you will manage one or more areas. You will be responsible for a large group of engineers and technical support personnel engaged in determining and specifying how the product is to be manufactured. You may also be responsible for planning, procurement, fabrication, installation and upkeep of tooling required in an area in complex, special or unusual situation.
You will have responsibility over a department or group of departments where the work involves a considerable amount of creativity and perception and a high level of independent judgment in making decisions.

Influences policymaking and strategy through effective communication strategies and persuasive skills. • Identifies and addresses highly complex, divergent communication issues through discussions and compromise, often where stakeholders have conflicting perspectives and objectives.
Manufacturing Strategy • Develops and provides strategy and direction for the function led, translating strategy into clear objectives. Leads their team and establishes a framework to deliver results that drive company initiatives each quarter and each year. Determines budget and makes strategic decisions in the owned area that are critical for delivering the results that directly contribute to the achievement of GM-wide objectives. • Assesses and identifies issues then provides strategy and direction for their area. Recommends and acts on significant organizational changes impacting areas across the company, aligning support, and directing the change management efforts required for implementation. • Plays a key role in developing the long-term strategic direction for General Motors and contribute to the overall vision for the industry and organization. • Engages with senior management, executives, and/or major customers to negotiate matters that impact the function. Aligns multiple stakeholder perspectives to achieve business results. Manages the successful resolution of conflicts across the area they lead and or support. • Develops and expertly implements communication strategies and methods to influence strategic policies and decisions, leverages advanced communication techniques to drive significant business results and inspire and motivate large teams.

- Develop long-range plans for improvements of processes and manufacturing activities

- You will provide technical assistance to maintain manufacturing performance
- Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards
- You will maintain Corporate and unit management control systems
Scorecard type Objectives:
- Responsible to launch Product Programs by coordinating and working with Product, Plants and all the Manufacturing Centers. Additionally, required to ensure Program timing and budget in on time.
- Deliverables All GREEN, YELLOW w/ Countermeasures, No RED PQRR deliverables
- Develop presentation material, lead presentations specific to program issues and updates
- Lead, Develop, hold accountable direct reports on professional developments and performance.
A strong focus on up integration of Subsystems and components to reduce Assembly Plant BEC , Assembly Sequence Optimization, Option Build Strategy Alignment, Mixed-Model Build Complexity Mitigation is needed.
Full-size truck, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering experience is preferred.
