What You'll Do
- Drive System Evolution: Define and refine system requirements while investigating transformative changes in our MDS environment. Your keen analytical skills will help set the stage for groundbreaking enhancements.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, gathering insights and prioritizing modifications that span new capabilities, external mandates, and essential fixes.
- Champion Rigorous Analysis: Conduct comprehensive systems requirements assessments, functional and timeline analyses, and in-depth trade studies. Your expertise in requirements allocation and interface definition will shape the future of our technology.
- Ensure Excellence in Execution: Lead technical management efforts, integration initiatives, rigorous system testing, and robust quality assurance to maintain our standards of excellence and reliability.
Note: This is a telecommuting position that requires candidates be within reasonable commuting distance of Virginia Beach VA.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree coupled with 4-8 years of relevant experience, with a foundation built on substantial MDS expertise.
- Strong grasp of the TWS system, TMPC, and especially MDS is essential. You should be comfortable with technical planning and adept in system hardware, software, and network design, from development through integration to validation.
- Proven experience in assessing alternatives, including cost, risk, and supportability analyses, ensuring you can confidently recommend and implement the best course of action.
- Requires a current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI security clearance after hiring.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MDS operations within the fleet, strategic insights into strike planning, and an in-depth understanding of the TMPC installation process will set you apart.
