Leads revenue quality strategy and operations to improve yield, surcharge attainment, profitability, and revenue integrity. Manages and develops professional teams, implements process improvements and technology automation, builds cross-functional relationships with sales, pricing, marketing, and operations, and delivers reporting, training, policies, and leadership development. The role is based in Memphis, Tennessee, or Harrison, Arkansas, with regular onsite work and some travel.

This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Plan, organize and oversee all aspects of functions responsible for revenue quality. Establish and implement short and long-term planning with strategies and tactics to optimize yield, protect profitable business and increase surcharge attainment maintaining the integrity of the company and building positive relationships with customers while achieving the highest level of profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruit, lead and develop a team of professionals and management aligned with company objective and strategies.
  • Drive revenue quality and growth increasing profitability.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Revenue Quality functions driving profitability.
  • Responsible for the utilization of new technology to improve and automate, where applicable, tools, systems and processes. Embrace and champion opportunities to enhance and streamline processes through technology and innovation.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with FedEx Services Sales, Pricing and Marketing as well as the operations and other leadership develop improvement strategies
  • Develop monthly reporting to supplement traditional financial reporting to highlight functional (yield, attainment, etc.) trends.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of policies and procedures that maintain quality.
  • Direct the design, development and delivery of educational materials and training that ensure excellence.
  • Develop the next generation of leadership with an emphasis on our company’s diversity and inclusion objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing.
Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Ten (10) years of extensive transportation or financial experience with five (5) years in management capacity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strategic planning capabilities to develop both short- and long-term departmental plans
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage diversified functions within the organization
Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and enterprise
Experience leading complex projects that span multiple business functions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, collaboration skills, and presentation skills
Outstanding planning, organizational, negotiation, decision making, analytical, mathematical, problem resolution and interpersonal skills
