What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support DeltaV system configuration, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Develop and maintain Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Functional Specifications (FS) for DeltaV and MCS components.
- Integrate DeltaV with peripheral systems (e.g. Siemens PLCs via Modbus).
- Support qualification activities including SAT, IQ/OQ, and GMP change management.
- Collaborate with process specialists to design and implement new recipes and automation logic.
- Provide frontline support during system failures and modifications.
- Participate in FATs and commissioning activities.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience or associate's degree with 6+ years of experience or BA/BS with 2+ years of experience or MBA/MS with any years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in Automation Engineering
- Proficiency in drafting software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 3 years in DeltaV systems.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical automation projects (e.g. Janssen, Pfizer, Eli Lilly).
- Strong understanding of ISA-88 batch automation
- Hands-on experience with recipe creation, equipment module development, and network architecture documentation.
- Familiarity with redundant server environments, and data historian applications (e.g. OSIsoft PI).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Hands-on experience with Automation Compliance projects
- Familiarity with process controls equipment
- Robust understanding of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations, and standards
- Strong teamwork spirit
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Understanding of programming and proficiency in at least one language
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ability to train others effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills
