The MCR Generalist plays an integral role within the Kimball International Organization. This position will fulfill the goals and objectives of the MCR Business Partner operating model and organization by providing consistent MCR partnering across Kimball International. This is a fast-paced, exciting position where the understanding of the organizational structure, culture, process, and procedures are critical. The MCR Generalist has strong MCR Systems knowledge and change management experience. The MCR Generalist operates in a matrix environment where critical thinking, emotional and social intelligence, organizational, and customer service skills are key. This position seeks to add valuable impact and support decision making. Reporting and responsibilities will flow through the supervising MCR Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on business partnering and decision support
- Counsel members on policies and procedures, member coaching professional development, and other issues
- Ensure updated FMLA, ADA, Systems, layoffs, and MCR record retention
- Provide constant member engagement/communication
- Enable learning and development execution
- Track performance management process and upload to Vantage for proper documentation and recordkeeping
- Manage member separation process working with the MCR Service Ctr for proper documentation & recordkeeping
- Administer training/support of self-service tools within ADP Vantage
- Assists members in the proper way to complete MCR transactions – concierge to other MCR service teams, reminder of self-service tools, etc.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring need and define candidate profiles.
- Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and direct sourcing, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screens, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for specific roles.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit within the organization.
- Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing interview materials, and providing feedback to candidates and hiring managers.
- Participate in recruitment system audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation
- Attend career fairs and other community events as needed to promote the Kimball International brands
- Support Wellness activities
- Support the Vision and Core Beliefs and other policies of Kimball International and other site-specific policies
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- 1-2 yrs. experience with Human Resources function
- SHRM-CP/PHR preferred
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish desired but not required
- Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or multi-shift environments preferred
- Experience in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and HR compliance
- Experience with hourly workforce populations
- Engagement and retention initiatives
Skills Required
- MCR systems knowledge and change management experience

- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish
- Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, multi-shift environments, or hourly populations
- Experience with engagement and retention initiatives
