Position Summary:  The Grinder is responsible for prepping fiberglass parts by performing multiple techniques including but not limited to grinding, trimming, drilling and cutting. The Grinder must be able to follow pre-established guidelines on measurements, drilling sizes and drilling locations.


Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Move parts into the grinding booth and separate the part from the mold.
  • Grind, trim, drill and cut parts, using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Complete assignments by following work orders, using prints and/or overlays.
  • Polycore areas as needed, following engineering specifications.
  • Complete rework on parts as necessary.
  • Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policy.
  • Must practice good housekeeping by keeping work areas clean at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

 

Mathematical Skills: General math skills required.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Skills Required
