Fluidra is looking for a Materials Supervisor to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT.
- Receiving, put away (manufacturing, purchase orders), inventory storage and accuracy
- Optimizing placement and movement of material to support manufacturing and shipping activities
- Designing, developing and implementing solutions for dramatically improving material flows using Lean Principles
- Maintaining a safe work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, as well as coaching and motivating team to proactively address potential safety issues and concerns
- Processing scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP and Stockroom
- Safety focus

- Highly accurate part selection resulting in inventory accuracy levels above 99%
- Inventory focus (transactions and overall process)
- Administer and execute policies, processes and procedures
- Hire, train, set responsibilities, establish standard work, and supervise supply chain personnel on your team and/or in the plant
- Write employee reviews and approve employee timesheets
- Work with the Planners and Buyers to monitor work flow and assignments
- Implement effective corrective actions utilizing structured planning methods
- Ability to foster and develop a strong team of material handling personnel through selective recruitment, thorough and consistent on-boarding processes, training, and coaching, and identification and addressing of competency gaps within team
- 2+ years in a Supervisory/Management role
- MS Office proficiency; knowledge of Oracle, ERP and WMS is highly desirable
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including the ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought; natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
- Knowledge of MRP systems, supplier lead times, and production cycle times
- Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision-making skills and the ability to challenge the status quo and current processes
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- 1+ year of experience operating a forklift
