Our Manufacturing team is responsible for researching and developing the supply chain and  manufacturing processes for all Formlabs products. They work cross-functionally with all disciplines of engineering that bring the complex products of 3D printing together. 

If you’re excited to help us develop and deploy the tools, processes, and teams required to build Formlabs products, we want you as a Materials Sourcing Lead.

 The Job:

  • Strategic and Holistic Sourcing: Build the right supply chain set up for NPIs and continuously manage for the lowest COGS and best products with the most secure supply chain.
  • Vendor Management: Own the relationship with vendors and negotiate for the best cost; facilitating smooth communication and commercial release. 
  • Program Management: Provide accurate status updates and action plan for the supply chain of materials in our SLA portfolio in both an NPI and general program management capacity.
  • Ensure we have the most competitive products with continuous management of BOM, MVA, Duties.
  • Proactively and systematically ensure production starts and ramps as fast as possible on time, budget, and with the right quality product meeting technical requirements.
  • Balance a bias for action with strategic program planning and risk management.
  • Establish and utilize strong relationships across business, engineering & leadership teams to drive needed project requirements from concept selection and initial prototype builds through project completion. 

You:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering: Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally & domestically ~10-20%.
  • 5+ years of experience working in Operations in a program management, manufacturing, supply chain, vendor management, procurement or similar role
  • Independent, self-starter with strong ability to think strategically and execute tactically with a persistent attention to full program details.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; presenting at all business levels.

Bonus Skills: 

  • Experience with complex project management.
  • Experience in a chemical engineering development environment.
