Position Summary
Location: Hybrid (Greater Portland, OR Area)
Duration: 10 Weeks (June 9 – August 15, 2025)
Hours: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
Pay: $18/hour

As a Materials Development Intern, you’ll play a crucial role in improving our physical and digital fabric libraries, supporting vendor collaboration, and gaining valuable exposure to product development and sourcing.
What You’ll Do:
- Optimize Our Fabric Library (Physical & Digital)
- Assess and improve our physical fabric library for better organization and expanded utilization across cross-functional teams.
- Standardize our digital fabric records by updating missing information, ensuring consistency in naming conventions, and adding images.
- Deliverable: An up-to-date, functional physical library and a complete, acurate digital fabric record.
- Business Impact: Streamlined fabric accessibility ensures efficient collaboration across teams and maximizes the use of existing materials.
- Support Vendor Week
- Assist in planning and executing Vendor Week, a key moment for innovation and supplier collaboration.
- Organize samples, coordinate communication, and document follow-ups from vendor meetings.
- Deliverable: A well-documented digital representation of vendor week samples, with clear action items for next steps.
- Business Impact: Enhanced vendor engagement and clear documentation support product innovation.
- Lead Fabric Updates for a Cross-Functional Team
- Attend weekly meetings with cross-functional teams, providing fabric updates and learning about the product development process.
- Deliverable: Weekly fabric updates and insights shared with internal teams.
- Business Impact: Strengthens communication between material development and design, ensuring better alignment in seasonal planning.

What You Bring:
- Current student or recent graduate in Textiles, Apparel/Fashion, Supply Chain, Apparel Product Development, or a related field.
- 0-1 year of experience (internship, academic projects, or volunteer work preferred).
- Familiarity with Excel (pivot tables, basic functions), MS Office, and organization tools.
- Passion for fabric, textiles, and sustainable material development.
- Eligibility & Application Details:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be based in the Greater Portland area (hybrid in-office requirement).
