Statement Summary/Job Description:
The Materials & Production Scheduling Analyst will ensure that all incoming materials are received according to procedure; reconcile raw ingredients and finished goods' inventory. Monitor raw ingredients and finished goods inventories, enter production and generate various inventory reports. Manage and control the inventory and flow of packaging through the plant with a focus on maximizing customer service and minimizing overall cost.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Enter all production reporting into MRP system. Develop, track, and report meaningful performance indicators that show the effectiveness of MRP and other control efforts.
- Utilize MRP system to effectively create schedules based on run rules, demand, and planned maintenance work or other plant events.
- Actively participate in the continuing improvement of MRP systems.
- Coordinate with supply planning, production, quality and maintenance to produce an efficient schedule.
- Own the production scheduling meeting by actively engaging with appropriate teams to build and present the best plan possible.
- Resolve any production issues resulting from incorrect entries on the number of batches reported.
- Maintain raw materials and packaging inventories. This includes creating purchase orders, monitoring transportation, reporting quality issues, and preventing expirations.
- Produce and distribute all necessary reporting.
- Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list.
- Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions.
- Build strong relationships with corporate supply and material planning, vendors, transportation team, and other Kraft departments, internal and external, to better ensure the success of department.
- Drive operational efficiencies by ensuring inventory accuracy and material availability.

Qualifications:
- College degree preferred, or minimum of one year in the food industry
- Knowledge of food processing and inventory control preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year to learn the function of the job.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility
- Detail orientated
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to delegate and follow through
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment because of access to confidential information
- Strong computer skills, Excel, Word
- MRP experience preferred
Physical requirements:
- Performs bending- squatting- kneeling- sorting- and reaching both ground level and overhead.
- Lift up to 50 pounds independently- and heavier weights with assistance
- Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in a manufacturing environment- as well as an office or classroom setting.
- Must Operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
