Job Responsibilities:

Magna develops and manufactures advanced products such as cameras, radar systems, and other sensors for modern vehicles. We are committed to leading innovation in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and helping shape the future of autonomous driving.

The objective of this thesis is to design and develop a source-agnostic platform that provides centralized release tracking and delivery observability across a heterogeneous software delivery ecosystem.
The platform should enable engineers to trace software releases end-to-end, regardless of the underlying tools used, while maintaining flexibility to support future toolchain evolution.

Expected Outcome

The thesis is expected to deliver:
  • A functional release tracking platform integrated with the host environment
  • A generalized domain model for release observability across multiple toolsAutomated software delivery metrics and performance insights
  • Contribute both practical and scientific insights into the area

Qualifications

You are a curious and motivated student with a strong analytical mindset and an interest in solving complex technical problems. You enjoy taking initiative, working both independently and as part of a team, and communicating your ideas clearly. Most importantly, you are passionate about software engineering and eager to contribute to solutions that are scalable, reliable, and built to last.
We are looking for students who:
  • Have a solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems
  • Possess experience in backend software development
  • Have knowledge of modern web application development
  • Understand Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts
  • Are interested in DevOps, platform engineering and software delivery practices
Experience with any of the following is considered an advantage:
  • Master's program in Computer Science
  • Event-driven architectures
  • Cloud-native technologies
  • API design and integration
  • Observability and monitoring platforms
  • Software supply chain security
  • Data modeling and system integration
