POSITION SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler is responsible for analyzing mid- to long-term demand signals to develop accurate production forecasts and scheduling plans. This individual will drive the alignment of demand signals, production capacity, material availability, and inventory strategies to ensure on-time delivery of complex, engineered to order solutions, including Power Skids, SmartRun systems, Power Modules, and other Infrastructure Solutions. The role serves as a critical link between Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP/SIOP), manufacturing operations, procurement, and customer fulfillment.

The ideal candidate bridges the gap between commercial demand insights and operational execution to optimize production output and customer delivery performance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Master Supply Planning & Scheduling

  • Analyze mid to long term demand signals from sales forecasts, customer orders, and historical data to develop production plans that balance capacity, inventory targets, and customer delivery commitments
  • Maintain and refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and responsiveness to changing market conditions.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability. 
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams to validate demand assumptions 
  • Identify and implement improvements in scheduling processes, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Serve as an engaged contributor to the SIOP process by providing accurate production schedules, capacity constraints, lead time updates, and inventory data to support informed decision-making and alignment across functions.

S&OP / SIOP Integration

  • Serve as a key contributor to the Global Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process
  • Prepare and present supply-side inputs for monthly SIOP reviews, including capacity assessments, constraint analysis, and scenario planning
  • Collaborate with demand planning, finance, and commercial teams to reconcile supply plans with demand signals and business objectives

Capacity & Constraint Management

  • Proactively identify and escalate supply risks, developing mitigation plans to protect customer commitments
  • Collaborate with plant operations and engineering to develop capacity expansion plans and resource allocation strategies as needed

Inventory Optimization

  • Advise inventory strategies that balance service levels with working capital targets
  • Support initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete inventory

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and program management to ensure seamless execution of the supply plan
  • Coordinate with key account teams (e.g., hyperscale and enterprise customers) to align supply plans with strategic customer requirements
  • Partner with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to integrate new product launches into the master supply plan

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management.  Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience planning for engineered-to-order (ETO), configure-to-order (CTO), or complex manufactured products
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis; experience with planning/BI tools preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Occasional travel to different office locations, client sites, or conferences may be necessary. (15%)
