RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on forecast, inventory objectives, and customer requests
- Reviews and ensures that the production requirement dates and customer delivery schedules are in sync
- Highlights significant issues of delayed customer shipments, production problems, inventory shortages and current status to management daily
- Coordinates solutions to any schedule issues with production control and operations team to ensure on-time delivery of product
- Utilizes forecasting techniques and experiences to manage manufacturing contracts with key customers on high volume products.
- Facilitates daily production meetings to supply information on the status of material and provides ship dates
- Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to the procurement function
- Analyzes delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and report findings to management
- Utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques and manages procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
- Works closely with Receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrived and electronically received correctly into system
- Maintain surveillance over inventory to assure good asset management and sufficient inventory to satisfy company production and sales effort
- Maintain procedures which will offer minimum guidelines describing the basic functions of the department and will provide a framework for relationships with suppliers to the company
- Studies work flow and sequence of operations in the department and recommends process improvements.
- Writes and implements standard work instructions for the department, trains all personnel and monitors for effectiveness
- Participate actively in VOS activities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to develop and manage master production schedules that balance customer demand, inventory targets, and production capacity.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Production, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, and Leadership teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, resolve scheduling conflicts, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, forecasting methodologies, and supply chain performance metrics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Master Production Scheduling, Production Control, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Planning.
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems, Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) tools, and capacity planning systems.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) preferred.
- Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and inventory optimization processes.

Demonstrated success in improving schedule attainment, inventory performance, customer service levels, and overall operational efficiency.
