Master’s Thesis Student (m/f/d) – Function Development for On-Board Chargers in Electric Vehicles

Are you ready to dive into one of the key technologies driving the electric vehicle revolution? We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Master’s student to complete their thesis within our R&D department, focusing on the function development of On-Board Chargers (OBC) for electric vehicles.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of hardware and software, contributing to the development of core charging functionalities.

Your core responsibilities include:

Thesis Scope & Topics (customizable based on university requirements):

  • Analysis and specification of OBC system functions
  • Development of functional concepts and implementation strategies
  • Modeling and simulation of key functions
  • Documentation and presentation of thesis results to internal stakeholders

Profile and Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of power electronics, control systems, and vehicle electrical architecture
  • Ideally, first experience with embedded systems, simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Independent, analytical, and structured working style
  • Strong communication skills in English and German
  • Passion for electromobility and curiosity to explore new technical challenges
