The Master Level Clinician provides clinical services under the supervision of a State-approved Licensed Supervisor. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing recovery plans, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, coordinating care, and connecting individuals to appropriate community resources. Services are delivered using Trauma-Informed Care and Person-Centered principles to support recovery and improve quality of life.
This position may provide services in clinic settings, community locations, schools, homes, or other approved service environments. Clinicians may be required to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency closures, based on program needs. Travel throughout the community is required.
Your Role in Action:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical and biopsychosocial assessments to determine diagnosis, treatment needs, and eligibility for services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with consumers, families, and treatment teams.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
- Deliver clinical services designed to reduce psychiatric symptoms and improve daily functioning.
- Provide crisis intervention services and assess risk of harm to self or others.
- Coordinate referrals and access to inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services.
- Deliver psychoeducation regarding mental illness, treatment options, medication management, and recovery strategies.
- Provide case management, care coordination, skills training, and psychosocial rehabilitation services as clinically indicated.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency, regulatory, and funding requirements.
- Ensure services meet medical necessity criteria and agency standards.
- Maintain culturally responsive and person-centered interactions with consumers, families, and community partners.
- Participate in required clinical supervision, training, and professional development activities.
- Transport consumers and deliver medications when required by program operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
- LPC-A, LMFT-A or LMSW in the state of TX
Experience:
- 6 months clinical experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of diagnostic criteria, specific clinical features and guidelines for formulating a diagnosis.
- Knowledge about cognitive behavioral therapy focusing on the reduction or elimination of severe and persistent mental illness (if applicable)
- Maintains current Intern licensure/supervision with appropriate state licensing regulatory board.
- Strong diagnostic skills, the ability to incorporate patient history, symptoms, environmental and related issues to formulate proper diagnosis & treatment.
- Strong communication skills, listening and interpersonal skills above average, written documentation is clear, concise, and well-constructed.
- Knowledge of safer suicide care practices and evidence-based interventions is a strong plus.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Able to execute standard word processing software on the computer.

Skills Required
- Master's degree or equivalent
- LPC-A, LMFT-A, or LMSW licensure in Texas
- At least 6 months of clinical experience
- Knowledge of diagnostic criteria and clinical guidelines for diagnosis formulation
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy for severe and persistent mental illness, when applicable
- Current intern licensure and supervision with the appropriate state licensing regulatory board
- Strong diagnostic, communication, listening, interpersonal, writing, time management, and organizational skills
