Job Description
Master Data at Louis Dreyfus Company is a truly global function, spanning all LDC locations. We validate and maintain all aspects of financial reference data for the group while working in an exciting, rapidly evolving environment.
It is an exciting role for a candidate who likes to be challenged and is keen to learn.
Position Summary
This position will support his/her manager in:
- Organizing daily team activities
- Setting up and improving forms, templates, and procedures
- Supporting data cleansing activities
- Providing the necessary Training to end users and MDM team members
- Monitor KPI and Shift schedule and Tasks
Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by his supervisor.
Manage the Finance Data Management Team activities:
- Ensure that the daily activities are executed as per determined time and quality standards
- Meeting data integrity parameters
- Ownership & communication of SLAs and KPIs
Setting up Masterdata:
- Counterparty & Other Masterdata in various corporate systems
- Maintenance and updating of central Masterdata tables, records & procedures
Support Projects / Finance Governance:
- Support of ERP deployments (advice, training, process implementation)
- Data cleansing (data consolidation, duplicates checks, etc.)
- Validate and improve controls and quality of data
Contribute to Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and provide input for issue resolutions
- Improve customer service procedures and ensure a world class service level
- Support improvement initiatives and projects that come out of business, organizational and process changes
Manage Performance and Teamwork
- Contribute to a good team spirit through proactive communication
- Motivate and encourage the team
Qualifications
Technical skills/knowledge required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in creating/ managing/ deploying master data
- Experience in a Shared services center is a plus
- Accounting and/or Master Data knowledge is a plus
- Extreme customer service orientation is a must
- Experience in analyzing, reconciling, cleaning, and manipulating large amounts of data
- Excellent Excel skills are a must
- Proven ability to understand business users’ needs and translate them into requirements and workflow
- IT knowledge is a plus
