SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We now see that to further enhance the use of data and to ensure our data is fit and secure to create more value, we are implementing and facilitating new processes in our organization.
We want our data to be ready at hand for all business initiatives in a secure and quality assured way to support Jotun’s business ambitions. This requires a solid process around data governance and master data management, so we are seeking experienced candidates who want to join us in the process of transforming the way Jotun does business through data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the proper management, quality, and security of our data through implementing our framework for data governance.
- Ensure that our data is reliable, protected, and aligned with our business goals with the help of a well-documented process and established tools.
- Establish and work closely with Data Owners and Stewards to ensure data is accessible and secure throughout its lifecycle.
- Collaborate with our data team to ensure that data is managed effectively and efficiently, in line with Jotun's Enterprise Data Governance strategy.
- Facilitate a process that ensures that essential data to business goals are of high quality, accurate, and relevant to the needs of the business.
- Work with the organization to implement the structure needed to support the Data Governance direction and plan.
- Improve data quality and business outcomes by working with data owners and stewards across the organization.
- Assess the need for a data management tool and oversee its implementation.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
Required qualifications:
- A strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
- Preferred qualifications include certifications in data management or governance, such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, such as DAMA-DMBOK.
- Familiarity with data security and compliance regulations.
- Experience in managing data quality and implementing data quality initiatives.
- A business-oriented mindset to align data management efforts with business goals and objectives.
- Competence on people change management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
