Master Data Administrator (2 Year Fixed-Term)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Master Data Administrator reporting to the Technology Business Partner. The positions will be based in Technology Business Partner
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- The role is responsible t o ensure the accurate, timely, and consistent creation, maintenance, and governance of McCain master data across business systems (e.g. SAP, salesforce, etc.).
- The role supports operational efficiency and data integrity by coordinating with cross-functional teams, upholding data standards, and facilitating continuous improvement in data processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Master Data Creation and Maintenance
- Create, update, and delete master data records in SAP (e.g., material master, vendor, customer, BOM, routing)
- Validate data against business rules and data standards
- Ensure timely and accurate data input to support operational processes
- Administer the salesforce system including user account management [ c reating, modifying, and deactivating], assigning appropriate permissions and responding to password resets and authentication issues
- Generate reports on salesforce system health, usage, and compliance
- Identify and correct duplicate, missing, or outdated records
- Administer bulk data imports/exports by ensuring that system is set up for automated uploads/downloads
Data Quality and Integrity
- Perform regular data audits and cleansing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Identify and correct duplicate, obsolete, or incorrect records
- Use SAP reports or custom tools to monitor and improve data quality KPIs
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure all data complies with internal data governance policies and external regulatory requirements
- Maintain documentation for data processes and standards
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and up-to-date master data
Client Support and Collaboration
- Work closely with departments such as Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain to understand data needs
- Address master data-related queries and issues from end users
- Provide a reporting and analytics support service including the preparation of data sets for reporting, ensuring data availability, and maintenance of dashboards or BI tools
Process Improvement and Automation
- Identify opportunities for streamlining master data management processes
- Participate in SAP enhancement projects or data migration activities (e.g., during SAP S/4HANA upgrades)
Support automation initiatives (e.g., workflow approvals, mass uploads using LSMW/BAPIs)
REQUIREMENTS:
- National Diploma in IT/Business Management
- A minimum of 3 years in a data administration, data entry, or master data-related role, preferably within a commercial, sales, or supply chain environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and process data requests will be advantageous.
