FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Master Control Operations Manager will assist the Director of Master Control Operations in supporting the FOX O&O Stations' master control and engineering departments. Ensure that stations are operating smoothly and assist in communicating group-wide company initiatives and procedures. Assist in the coordination of workflows related to media prep and troubleshoot FOX Media Cloud and Wide Orbit delivery issues. Work directly with station master control and provide training for Evertz Mediator, Dataminer, FMC and other broadcast support systems. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify vulnerabilities within operational workflow and provide solutions. Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Requirements

• 5 years master control experience at a station level. Complete knowledge of FCC regulations and guidelines.

• Comprehensive understanding of master control operations and familiarity with media asset management workflow.

• A positive, detail-oriented person who learns quickly and works well individually or with a team

• Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple and concurrent tasks with in-depth troubleshooting skills.

• Must be able to proficiently operate a PC and laptop. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe.

• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holiday

Preferred Experenience

• Experience with Evertz Mediator and Dataminer.

• Prior Management, Engineering and/or IT education or experience.

• Organized and precise, knows that details matter and that good execution is both on-time and high-quality

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $85,000.00-95,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
