The project focuses on the application of genetic engineering techniques to generate novel designer CHO cells with optimized process performance for the production of biopharmaceuticals. The project includes the following methods:
Standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR)
State-of-the-art genome editing tools (CRISPR)
Transfection and cell culture technologies for the generation of stable production cell lines
Small-scale bioprocesses in fed-batch format (manual and automated)
Protein analytics (product titer)
What Will Convince Us
Bachelor or Master studies in biochemistry, biology, biotechnology or related fields
First experience with handling mammalian cell lines
First experience with state-of-the-art genome editing tools (CRISPR) is an advantage
High motivation and the ability to work independently
