Aetna is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MarTech developer to help develop tools within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), design future-proof architecture for system integrations, and partner with Data Science to deploy GenAI and content optimization solutions.

Driving member behavior change is a critical strategy in Aetna's mission to offer our members affordable health benefits coverage and access to quality care. This position is directly responsible for executing behavior change messaging campaigns that improve member health outcomes and lower total cost of care.
 

POSITION SUMMARY

Aetna is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MarTech developer to join our dynamic team. As a MarTech Developer, you will be responsible for developing tools within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), designing future-proof architecture for system integrations within SFMC and between other CRM platforms, and working with various stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of owned applications and tools. This includes partnering with Data Science to deploy GenAI and custom optimization solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in platform architecture, email building, web application development, and mobile communication technologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions that meet global regulatory standards.  You’ll be part of multiple teams that are innovating in the digital marketing space.  

Fundamental Components:

  • Work within SFMC, have a strong grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a strong grasp of SFMC-specific tech such as AMPscript, SSJS, and a fundamental understanding of GTL
  • In partnership with our data engineering team, develop architecture that allows our campaign teams to inject and extract data from various systems
  • Develop and maintain integrations with SFMC and other relevant systems
  • CRM platform management, development, and administration
  • Manage data effectively, including data querying and management using SQL
  • Support development or deployment of APIs and integrations with other internal systems
  • Test and debug API requests to ensure functionality and security

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in platform architecture and web application development
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and its components
  • Strong background in mobile communication platforms and SMS technologies
  • Strong background with ESPs and email development, testing, and deployment
  • Strong background with HTML and CSS
  • Experience with REST API development and usage
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and SFMC-related server-side scripting (AMPscript, SSJS, GTL)
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL for data management and querying
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in Salesforce or other technology platforms

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in a related field or relevant certifications.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,360.00 - $159,120.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
