SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented individual to join our People Function team at Marsh in Singapore. This is a senior business partner role, working with country and regional business leadership teams, advising on broader business issues, such as workforce planning, organizational design and management. The incumbent, in conjunction with the COEs, will be responsible for the management and execution of the people strategy for the region including all aspects of the employee life cycle - hiring, retention, career development, talent management, compensation, performance management and employee relations. Reporting to the Regional People Leader Asia, this role will manage a team of HR professionals.


This is a senior HR leadership role and will provide strategic leadership and business partnering, thereby enabling the business and ensuring the alignment of HR activities and priorities to the Asia People Strategy.


We will count on you to:

  • Work closely with the Asia HR team and business leaders to design and implement HR solutions, programs, and policies that achieve short-and-long term business growth, including business & people strategy, HR program design & delivery, and data & analytics.
  • Manage the overall employee experience that retains, develops, and advances colleagues’ careers including performance management, learning & development, employee relations, talent management, compensation & benefits, and employee technology systems.
  • Be a positive representative of HR across the business, contributing on cross-functional initiatives and cross-HR project teams as required.
  • Provide strategic support across the region by partnering in the development of workforce plans, organizational and job design, to align and manage people resources across the business.
  • Be an AI champion driving the adoption of AI tools in the HR function and the business.
  • Lead workforce planning adapting to changes in the business, including M&A.
  • Manage the year-end compensation process, in conjunction with the rewards CoE and the business.
  • Oversee the matrix review process with the market, ensuring that decision making across a large number of leaders is consistent and that budget guidelines are met.
  • Oversee and provide expertise in complex employee relations matters for the business in partnership with regional and global HR leadership.
  • Lead and manage a team of HR professionals including the provision of team development opportunities, coaching, and mentoring.

What you need to have:

  • More than 15 years of progressive HR experience including leadership of a multi-country HR function.
  • Prior experience in a professional services or financial services environment will be of an advantage, though not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in HR business partnering in a highly matrixed organisation.
  • Good commercial acumen and understanding of business.
  • Strong knowledge of local labour law and HR best practices in Singapore and broader Asia markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and advise business leaders, able to challenge when necessary and promote an alternate perspective to enable robust evaluation of issues and options. Ability to navigate difficult and complex situations with tact.
  • Have demonstrated experience in leveraging data, AI, and other technologies to make informed recommendations and decisions.
  • Adept in collaborating with HR Centres of Excellence.
  • Able to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, work independently and act as a resourceful self-starter.
  • Staying current with HR and industry market trends and openness to share knowledge and key experiences with colleagues and leaders.
  • Undergraduate degree in appropriate area.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
