Job Description
As an Executive Director and member of senior leadership for Markets Securities Operations, you will be an integral member of the Markets Securities Operations Legal Entity Oversight and Control team. You will be responsible for the oversight and supervision of financial reporting, and maintaining robust controls and facilitating accurate regulatory reporting.
Markets Securities Operations is responsible for settlement, clearance, and asset servicing functions across all asset classes, globally. The group consists of three core teams: Broker Dealer Settlement Operations, Markets Asset Servicing, and Regulatory Operations. Each year Securities Operations processes over 1.5 billion securities settlements & exchange executions, 2 million margin related collateral moves, and issues over 40 million client statements across more than 70 markets including Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Canada, Spain, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Our teams are instilled with the motivation to succeed in a challenging environment and enforce the need for timely execution of deliverables. You will leverage your experience with various trading products and services to protect the firm's global risk exposure. In this role, you will also partner with stakeholders in Operations, Technology, and additional sub lines of business across the firm. The ideal candidate for this key leadership role is outcome-focused, control, metrics, and people focused, and has a demonstrated ability to work within and navigate a matrixed environment.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee Markets Securities Operations teams in Jersey City, Delaware, and Manila to ensure timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting, supporting various internal and external audits and developing and automating processes
- Coordinate closely with the functional leads in the Markets Securities Operations management team to ensure consistency of process, controls, and strategy across our global teams
- Attract, develop, and retain a high performing and diverse team.
- Utilize data analytics to define and measure process performance and continuously seek opportunities to improve controls and the accuracy of regulatory reporting.
- Manage associated resources and expenses within the targeted annual budget.
- Facilitate the adoption and usage of automation toolsets and AI-enabled solutions to create capacity opportunities and reduce manual process interventions.
- Ensuring clear integration and communication locally and dissemination of local management information and initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 10+ years of relevant Regulatory, Financial, Operations, Risk & Controls management experience within Financial Services
- Bachelor's degree
- Series 99 Certification
- Prior experience and strong knowledge of financial markets and products
- Analytical problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think strategically, partner, and influence relevant stakeholders
- Ability to lead a control focused culture that nurtures excellence and transparency
- Ability to drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification and assessment
- Must be highly disciplined, and can execute in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
