Get to know the team

The Group Marketplace team manages Grab's marketplaces across Southeast Asia. The team works with partners across multiple departments in Grab to build business improvements through marketplace levers such as pricing, incentives and allocation. The team also generates business insights and propose data-driven strategic plans to grow the business across both transport and deliveries.


Get to know the role

You will use data-driven insights to create a sustainable, reliable and efficient marketplace for Grab's transport business in Thailand. We are looking for (a) familiarity with large datasets and experience with piecing together data to form insights and (b) ability to work with many different teams including Product and Country Operations.


The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Lead projects involving teams to improve metrics on all sides of the marketplace
  • Propose new experiments and own end-to-end experimentation process including experiment design, rollout and analysis of results
  • Monitor daily marketplace metrics, investigate short-term anomalies and troubleshoot with the product team.
  • Develop day-to-day tactical solutions and longer-term strategic plans to improve marketplace dynamics

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent analytical abilities, including Advanced Excel (can perform complex functions) /Google sheets skills. You will need to be comfortable with drawing insights from complex data sets. SQL proficiency.
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to present insights
  • End-to-end problem-solving, backed by data insights
  • Strong sense of curiosity in trying to find impactful opportunities and learning about our economics
  • Balance detail with quick execution
