As a Principal Growth Marketing Manager, you will collaborate with Marketing, Product and Data Science teams to develop and manage the customer acquisition, activation and retention funnels. You will designing and launching growth experiments that help Databricks customers quickly unlock value through a self-serve platform. This is a builder role and is for anyone who is looking to build out a new sales motion.
The impact you will have:
- Own the Metric: Define and own the Growth OKRs. Collaborate with cross functional teams within Marketing and across product teams to deliver against these OKRs.
- Growth funnel Optimization: Define the growth funnel by user/account lifecycle stage and analyze drop-off points. Leverage feedback from customers and field to gain insights into reasons for drop offs and introduce experiments to improve the funnel metrics.
- User Activation: Design and execute strategies to drive high quality paid and organic traffic to trial sign-ups and convert them into active, engaged users.
- Onboarding Journey: Collaborate with the product team to develop seamless and intuitive onboarding experiences that help users to quickly realize value.
- Value Expansion: Develop strategies to drive product adoption and leverage data science models to trigger the next best action expanding Databricks value for our customers.
- Nurture: Partner with email, web and paid media nurture campaigns to engage users and drive them back into the product.
- Experimentation: Collaborate with the analytics team to test and iterate on growth strategies, using A/B testing, user feedback and attribution model to improve outcomes.
- Content optimization: Build visibility into content performance and work closely with product and technical marketers to iterate and deliver a personalized experience.
What we look for:
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling growth marketing for a B2B enterprise SaaS software company.
- Strong understanding of funnel metrics and levers, including testing and optimization, to generate and accelerate growth.
- Capacity to generate insights from data and translate it into actionable changes.
- Strong understanding of experimentation design principles and experience executing and evaluating growth experiments.
- Solid understanding of marketing channels, performance metrics and channel specific tactics to drive growth across the user journey.
- Familiarity with marketing tech stack (e.g. marketing automation platforms, email service providers, content management systems, etc.)
- Experience with content marketing and standing up content as a foundational pillar.
- Experience with communications, and project management to drive strategic alignment and execution across stakeholders at all levels.
Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $130,800—$231,400 USD

$123,500—$218,600 USD
