Position Overview:

The Social Media Specialist contributes to the creative strategy and performs the execution of organic (non-paid) Social Media for multiple Neighborly brands, in partnership with the Social Media Manager, other Social Media team members, brand managers, other internal stakeholders and external vendor partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Social Media Manager, other Social Media team members, Brand Managers, PR/Communication Team, and vendor partners in defining organic Social Media content and handling program execution for multiple brands/digital properties, to drive customer engagement and business growth.
  • Contribute to editorial content calendars and social media posting schedules for blogs and other content marketing assets (i.e. social media posts, infographics, image treatments, videos, whitepapers, etc.) on platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Write/create unique, engaging, and accurate content aligned with brand and business standards.
  • Execute social media posting on platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor results of social media marketing efforts and assist in gathering performance metrics and insights.
  • Monitor customer engagement and participate through listening, responding, asking questions and engaging in conversations with various audiences when needed.
  • Stay informed of broader content marketing initiatives, in order to coordinate with social media strategy.
  • Support the execution of special campaigns including social media promotions and contests.
  • Help to inform and educate stakeholder teams on social media strategy, activities, and industry trends.
  • Travel for regional and national meetings, conferences and trade shows; Help to prepare and present social media information in meetings and conferences as needed.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.


Education & Experience:

Education: 4-year undergraduate degree required

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of social media experience, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency with social media analytics platforms and Google Analytics
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
