***THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION***ABOUT THE JOB:

The SEO Off-Page strategist will help drive domain and page authority in the eyes of Google by designing, coordinating, and implementing projects to boost the number of relevant incoming links to ConsumerAffairs.com. You will also be responsible for improving our overall EAT, reputation, and mentions on the web by partnering on PR initiatives.

Your typical day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating outreach campaigns, designing and coordinating data story telling research pieces for our site, and regular reporting on all relevant off-page SEO metrics that impact our performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Surface new referenceable link asset ideas that serve our industry
  • Coordinate the creation of those link assets with relevant partners in content and product
  • Plan and execute the promotion of relevant linkable properties on our site to third parties who may be willing to link out to them
  • Understand priority URLs in partnership with the SEO team, and drive quarterly off-page strategy to support those URLs
  • Own reporting of all off-page metrics including number of new referring domains, backlinks, dofollow vs nofollow growth, lost referring domains and links, citations/mentions, and reputation management on SERP
  • Influence the PR strategy broadly across the organization in partnership with our editorial teams

Requirements

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Communications or relevant field or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 1-2+ years of SEO experience

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Experience with Google services, including AdWords, Search Console (Webmaster Tools), and Google Analytics
  • Experience administering content in CMS environments
  • Familiarity with tools of the trade (Ahrefs, MOZ, SEMrush, Majestic, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing SEO in reputation management and brand-building
  • Have hands-on experience executing integrated SEO programs with proven success
  • A functional understanding of back-end elements such as HTML, CSS and schema
  • Stands up for decisions, takes responsibility for results and shares both good and bad outcomes transparently
  • Digital PR experience with a proven track record of link earning at scale
  • Process design and execution of outreach at scale

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Location: Remote/ Tulsa
  • Frequency of travel: Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training and/or conferences
  • Light physical activities and efforts required in working within an office environment
