About this role
GoodRx is seeking a senior SEO manager to help drive our continued organic growth. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp on SEO best practices and has demonstrable experience planning, executing, and measuring organic growth strategies.
You’ll be a part of a growing cross-functional team, working alongside other SEOs as well as world-class product managers, designers, engineers, content writers, data folks, and subject matter experts who are dedicated to solving meaningful health problems for millions of people each month. You’ll closely collaborate with others throughout the organization to identify growth opportunities, propose new SEO initiatives, and maximize the organic visibility of our growing business.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing keyword research to discover, size, and pursue SEO opportunities within the rapidly evolving digital health space
- Ongoing competitive intelligence: assess competitor SEO/content strategies, understand the impact of algorithm updates on the health space, etc
- Leverage data to identify and propose growth opportunities of all shapes and sizes: from new content and features to section consolidation and migration; if it drives growth, we should consider it!
- Propose and test changes (i.e. metadata/schema) to optimize core pages for maximum rank and CTR
- Perform regular audits of GoodRx properties to ensure SEO compliance and identify growth opportunities
- Regularly engage with the SEO community to stay informed on the latest search trends, algorithm updates, search features, optimization opportunities, etc
- Identify and resolve potential cannibalization on a rapidly-growing website
Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience working in SEO
- Demonstrable proficiency with onsite SEO, and how changes to crucial elements (content, links, metadata, etc) may impact organic performance
- Experience working closely alongside product, engineering, and content teams
- Experience with opportunity sizing and projecting growth
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and Search Console and an understanding of how to use this data to improve search visibility
- A deep curiosity about the evolving search landscape
- Be prepared to share examples of successful SEO campaigns
Nice to have
- Experience working on a highly-trafficked consumer-facing website
- Experience with ASO (app store optimization)
- Experience with international SEO
- Competence with common SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Botify, Stat, Ahrefs, SEMRush
- A familiarity with SEO AB testing
