The Job

Reporting to our Head of Performance Marketing, you’ll work closely with our marketing leadership to measure the efficacy of marketing campaigns and identify opportunities for growth. You’ll deeply understand our performance tactics (including paid search, paid social, direct mail, display advertising, SEO, and others), providing the team with insights and recommendations for optimizations. You will partner with our content and social teams to set goals and measure top-of-funnel brand engagement. You’ll also partner with our customer marketing teams to understand our customer journey and drive activation, upsell, and cross-sell through email, chat, and other channels. You will fundamentally help us define success in marketing and continue to improve. 

Responsibilities

  • Measure the efficacy of a variety of marketing campaigns (paid, organic, brand, email, chat, website, social). Partner with the marketing team to set goals, measure results, uncover insights and make recommendations. 
  • Understand the performance of our full funnel, from prospect to signup to active customer – and connect the dots between different systems and data sources to provide a complete picture of marketing results.
  • Size and analyze new markets, channels, or opportunities.
  • Make recommendations to senior leadership on how we can improve overall efficiency marketing campaigns, budget, and targeting.
  • Dig into critical business metrics to understand why they are moving up or down – and what we should do about it.
  • Partner with marketing team members on running, measuring, analyzing A/B tests.
  • Drive marketing ops tasks when needed to set up proper marketing attribution and tracking; Work closely with data, engineering, marketing, and biz ops to make sure we have accurate data flowing to and from our database.
  • Lead the migration of marketing data from external vendors into Looker for easy reportability to the broader organization.

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years experience in marketing analyst or related roles 
  • Deep experience measuring efficiency of paid & organic marketing campaigns
  • Familiarity with measuring ROI of top-of-funnel or brand marketing campaigns
  • Understanding of best practices in tracking and attribution across channels
  • Experience using paid marketing tools (Google Ads/Bing Ads/Facebook Ads/Apple Ads), analytics and tracking tools (Google Analytics, google tag manager), search and SEO tools (such as Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs), data visualization tools ( such as Looker/Tableau/Domo/Spotfire)
  • Strong data analysis skills - proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets/SQL is a must; statistical analysis using Python or R recommended
  • Ability to dig into complex, ambiguous problems, using multiple data sources and tools to come up with answers and recommendations
  • Communicatiion skills: ability to work collaboratively, synthesize data and present actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects from end-to-end
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to a growing and dynamic environment 
  • Experience in SMB or consumer products and/or SaaS a plus
