Platform Manager - Enterprise Marketing Systems

Platform managers are responsible for ensuring the relevant platforms are in the best position to delight internal users and customers. Platform is defined as a software application or suite that is used primarily by internal users, parts being exposed to external customers, usually in some form of specific customer-facing activity. Examples could include a CRM system, a contact center management system or a knowledge management system. The platform manager leads the lifecycle management of the relevant platform, aligned to the company strategy for:

  • Helping eliminate or automate redundant, repetitive work
  • Enabling user self-service and exception-only company support
  • Standardizing and harmonizing product and customer data

Specifically, the Platform Manager for Enterprise Marketing Systems is responsible for making sure that marketing can send the right content is delivered to the right audience at the right time, and then ensuring all relevant stakeholders receive actionable information about the receipt of those marketing materials.

This position is the decision maker about what company-specific features are released and serves as the company and user proxy responsible maximizing business value of the platform, working with the external vendor or internal group who developed the platform. Critical to success is effective collaboration with business stakeholders, users, platform design and development as well as other product and platform managers to align the feature release backlog with the needs of these groups and intended outcomes.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the strategic development and adoption of specific platforms - including Adobe Campaign, Zoom, Sprinklr, and other related platforms - and relevant features
  • Develop and implement an understanding and prioritization of the needs of targeted platform users
  • Proactively Manage the platform lifecycle from identifying user outcomes through to business impact, and direct the platform strategy and tactical decisions to maximize the value of that continuous lifecycle
  • Analyze user "voice of customer" (VoC) to identify users' relevant wants and needs; organize and prioritize those opportunities to maximize value of the overall platform and link to the overall business vision
  • Partner with design and development teams to proactively identify and create solutions
  • Manage global licensing coordinating with procurement to ensure platform investment is maximized
  • Understand and champion features within the platforms to optimize business continuity
  • Partnering with the feature release delivery team and the user groups affected:
    • Determine approach in the delivery method(s) required, prioritize release schedule and features to include in release, making decisions on competing ideas or resources
    • Create and refine user stories as appropriate
    • Develop acceptance criteria, ensuring user acceptance testing processes are defined, implemented and adhered to prior to release, including any direct testing to ensure features meet user requirements
  • Communicate platform feature releases and backlog items with the relevant cross-functional groups at the appropriate times
  • Identify major releases for purposes of quarterly strategic communications with the broader business;
  • Understand users' quality and performance expectations and define training and support requirements
  • Own the platform performance dashboard, partnering with all relevant stakeholders in leveraging their expertise to drive adoption
  • Provide an appropriate amount user support to ensure adoption of new features including training, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Communicate platform feature releases and backlog items with the relevant cross-functional groups at the appropriate times Identify major releases for purposes of quarterly strategic communications with the broader business;
  • Understand users' quality and performance expectations and define training and support requirements
  • Provide an appropriate amount user support to ensure adoption of new features
  • Manage the feature roadmap portfolio with a common approach and link to the development environment.
  • Continually partner with relevant business, global, and IT departments to evaluate the Marketing Technology Stack to understand ownership and utilization of tools, including incorporating commonly used tools that meet criteria to be owned by the Platform Manager.

What You Need to Succeed:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Related field
  • 5 - 10 years combined experience in product management, marketing, business, or customer service, including software implementation or product ownership
  • Experience translating business requirements into software development requirements, partnering with software development, and delivering software products using Agile methodology;

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse range of external customers and internal stakeholders: architects, facility owners/managers, general contractors, distribution partners, installation and security consultant personnel, specification writers, sales personnel, engineering, marketing, finance, executive leadership, etc.
  • Proven ability to translate complex customer and channel needs into thoughtful, well-organized business initiatives and portfolio roadmaps
  • Customer experience design and execution capabilities (e.g., customer journey mapping, organizing and managing customer advisory board schedules, feedback and communication to close the loop, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, prioritize, integrate, and execute new solutions within a business
  • Experience working in Adobe Campaign or another email marketing campaign
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $76,000 - 141,200. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
