We’re looking to onboard a Marketing Events Lead to join the FLYR crew. As Marketing Events Lead, you will be responsible for managing FLYR’s tradeshows and related sponsorship programs. The Marketing Events Lead will collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify and plan all annual shows. In addition, the Marketing Events Lead will be responsible for reporting on success, outcomes of show participation, by show, quarterly & annually, and budget management of the overall program.


The successful candidate will have a keen experience-based familiarity with the practice of Revenue Management in the transportation industry and B2B Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)

What will your destination look like at FLYR?

  • Expertly lead and develop FLYR’s global tradeshow and sponsorship program
  • Ultilize strong relationship management skills to negotiate high-visibility opportunities, sponsorships, and pricing
  • Manage schedules and coordinate staffing for onsite/virtual booth and/or speaking engagements
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop lead generation, pre-show, and post-show communication, content, and strategies
  • Manage event budget and track contracts and payments of each subcontracted vendor as necessary 

What should you pack for this trip?

  • 7+ years of event management experience in B2B SaaS, including large and small trade shows, global events and virtual conferences
  • Highly detail-focused - nothing slips by you!
  • Previous experience using or marketing commercial software in the airline industry is highly preferred
  • Comfortable using marketing automation and CRM tools - HubSpot
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is–or isn’t—working
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing (or related field)

  • Initial Screen - Active candidates are screened against the criteria listed above
  • Introductory Call - A FLYR team member will reach out for an initial call to learn more about each other. 
  • Hiring Manager Call - The hiring manager will then speak with the candidate further about the role and the candidate’s skills
  • Skills Challenge - An opportunity to show off their talents! Candidates are asked to complete a short work prompt that assesses the skills that relate to the role they have applied for. 
  • Onsite/Virtual Onsite - A series of meetings with the hiring team/team members to finalize our evaluation of each candidate.
