Marketing Copywriter
About the job
Red Hat's internal marketing agency, Open Studio: Brand Experiences, is looking for a creative Marketing Copywriter to join us. In this role, you will support ongoing programs and campaigns. You'll develop concepts and write copy for a range of content. Your typical projects will include ad campaigns (digital, print, and out-of-home), event activations, and social media campaigns. As a Marketing Copywriter, you will join a community of marketing strategists, designers, writers, filmmakers, developers, and more. We come from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, but we're united by a singular purpose - to create innovative work that amplifies the Red Hat story.
What you will do
- Collaborate directly with creative strategists, art directors, and other creative peers to develop global campaigns and content marketing projects
- Proactively pitch new concepts and creative strategies
- Concept and write headlines, subheads, and calls to action (CTAs) for a range of media
- Write social copy for paid and organic promotion
- Consult with Senior Copywriters, associate creative directors, and subject matter experts to ensure that copy is both compelling and technically accurate
- Advocate for Red Hat's brand, values, corporate strategy, and culture
- Understand and use Red Hat's brand guidelines, including voice and tone
- Stay current with copywriting trends and techniques
What you will bring

- Ability to translate complex technical content into compelling creative stories
- Ability to write in Red Hat's conversational, engaging, and accessible voice

- Knowledge of the Associated Press (AP) style
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Global experience (beyond North America) and multilingual candidates are a plus
