About the job
The Red Hat Brand Experience team within the Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join the Global Events Experience team. In this role, you will support marketing, events, communications, and overall strategy for Red Hat's global event presence within the technology industry. You will report to the manager of global event strategy who leads the Strategic Meetings Management Program (SMMP). You'll support the program, implementation, and processes to ensure the program remains healthy. This is a great opportunity to become part of a cross-functional team responsible for many aspects of Red Hat's experiential marketing and events. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Support the Global Events team strategy and SMMP through meeting minutes, data analysis, standard operating procedure (SOP) design, reporting, and more
  • Solid, efficient communication skills to work with various groups within Red Hat to ensure that project deliverables and timelines associated with the respected programs are met
  • Provide regular reporting, trends, deliverable progress, and updates to management and stakeholders from other teams
  • Manage the Global Events Source page and implement an efficient maintenance process and create an SOP
  • Support the Global Event Templates Project, a project to establish consistent event terms and conditions, marketing consent, other compliant questions, and more in conjunction with the Legal, Procurement, MTO, Data Privacy, and Information Security teams
  • Manage the Global Events Swag newsletter, revise content curation process when necessary, and create SOP maintenance and KPI tracker to make data-driven improvement decisions
  • Support the Global Event Experience team best practices and work efficiency efforts through SOP creation and kit support; maintain Global Event Experience team's monthly audit of resources
  • Support the Red Hat Return to Events phases update process and Source page management
  • Coordinate communications with applicable Global Events Experience team members for event support submission requests
  • Represent the Global Events Experience team on the internal Red Hat Source Committee
  • Perform other duties to support the team as assigned, e.g., partner and collaborate with and support the Speakers Bureau and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Marketing Events manager as needed
  • Assist with build and delivery of approved communication plans
  • Coordinate calendars, calls, and meeting invitations with internal and external stakeholders when necessary


What you will bring

  • 2+ years of event development and delivery experience
  • Project management experience involving multiple stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or a closely related degree
  • Experience communicating and building trust-based working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving, writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to identify and develop performance measures and benchmarks
  • Motivated with the ability to perform well with strict deadlines and timelines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time while working with a wide variety of cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Skilled in process documentation and guideline creation
  • Creative thinking skills; ability to explore or implement modern or unconventional approaches to solving problems
