As a Marketing Analyst, Compute & Networking Business Unit (CNBU) - Cloud Server you will play a key role in driving marketing forecast planning efforts across a broad range of applications for the Cloud Server segment. You will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing marketing forecast signals and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics. This includes developing proposed forecasting methodologies across Micron's product portfolio based on analysis of historical demand trends, historical forecast performance metrics, and future demand projections. You will work closely with the Product Marketing and Business Operations teams, as well as other functions in Micron.
Role Responsibilities & Tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Aligning quarterly and yearly business plan targets for segment
  • Collaborating with marketing stakeholders in marketing and sales forecast reconciliation (MSR) forums
  • Implementing forecasts for MSR activities, plan product transitions and ramps, review customer plans and sales forecast
  • Planning product mix to maximize revenue and gross margin
  • Highlighting and review key changes in the demand forecast and supporting assumptions
  • Serving as the single point of contact for Kinaxis Rapid Response System loading of marketing forecast that drives the final publication of the consensus demand signal
  • Managing and Analyze Forecast Scenario Options
  • Conducting research to identify and implement best known forecasting methods
  • Working closely with Business Operations/internal business partners to generate statistical forecasts and drive continuous improvement in our forecast modeling capabilities
  • Overseeing product life cycle and global business activities (e.g. go to market plans, portfolio management, EOL planning, product collateral, competitor research)
  • Participating in Product/Segment collateral (Updates, presentations, external part catalog, One Micron Guide, competitive landscape, information guides, etc.)
  • Attending segment meetings to gather strategy and competitive data as well as to share identified opportunities for forecast improvement
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in both process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proficiency in seeing the big picture while paying attention to detail
  • Excellent understanding of native Micron business planning systems and processes
  • Passion for continuously improving the process, tools, reporting, and communications to achieve business objectives
  • Providing support for Marketing and Business Operations


Qualifications include, but not limited to:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline such as; Engineering, Marketing, Operations Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management,
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably with high tech products
  • Able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in team environment and maintain good relationships with team members
  • Demonstrated strong analytic skills
  • Experience with full Microsoft Office suite. Strong Excel skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Cloud and Networking markets is preferred
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity
  • Able to work under continual deadline constraints
