Marketing Acceleration Associate Summary:

The Marketing Acceleration Associate works directly with industry, line of business and geography marketers to execute on components of marketing programs (that could include content development, email campaigns, research and advertising) and minimally complex events (that could include in-market events, webcasts or conferences and tradeshows). The associate will offer best practices for program and event optimization and execution as well as building understanding and interpreting of program and event metrics to evaluate performance against agreed upon goals. The associate will be responsible for the execution of all related activities in support of a wide variety of marketing programs and events. National marketing program, event and campaign support may be assigned based on resources needed, timing and readiness of the associate. Will utilize specific marketing planning tools and platforms to execute on defined internal processes and project management as well as gain understanding of best practices and efficiencies within the acceleration team.

Essential Duties

Event management and support - Participates in the execution of in-market events, national webcasts or tradeshows and conferences:

  • Based on direction from marketing professional, aligns activation of event with goals and timing outlined focusing on key messages, advancing our brand market position, driving engagement and advancing relationships with clients and focus prospects
  • Identifies and recommends ways to improve and position RSM using best practices and efficiencies gained from prior experience and/or marketing acceleration team input
  • Collaborates and communicates within marketing acceleration team as well as wider marketing team including digital marketing & audience engagement, production, editorial, market insights and other IMC centers of excellence and resources needed to execute on event
  • Manages all aspects of project from initiation to reporting within project management system
  • Ensures follow-up is taking place post-event working with marketing professional
  • Assess and summarize event results against stated goals and prepare for communication with broader stakeholder group
  • If required, ensure leads are collected, documented and followed up on as agreed to in planning pre-event, including coordination and activation with inside sales as needed
  • Ensures debrief has taken place with marketing professional for best practices and lessons learned from event execution
  • Ability to provide on-site support, as needed
  • Develops and maintains relationships with event-related vendors from sourcing to activation to payment
  • Ensures invoices are approved and submitted in a timely manner and is aware of the total event budget
  • Manages the process for events offering CPE credit including collection of presentations, review/approval process, document preparation, processing of and sending certificates


Program management and support: Participates in the execution of components of marketing programs

  • Supports initial discovery, planning and research to find proper resources to aid in the development of programs ensuring alignment with national line of business, industry and broader marketing strategies
  • Works with the marketer to align program with identified marketing and business strategy focusing on relevancy of positioning, key messages and adherence to brand guidelines and necessary compliance and legal requirements
  • Coordinates and manages the execution of marketing program from initiation to reporting within project management system


Ensures follow-up is taking place post-program working with marketing professional to:

  • Assess and summarize campaign results against stated goals and prepare for communication with broader stakeholder group
  • If required, ensure leads are collected, documented and followed up on as agreed to in planning pre-campaign, including coordination and activation with demand generation (delivery of campaign profile form and list), as needed
    Insures debrief has taken place with marketing professional for best practices and lessons learned from program execution


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required


TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Ability to utilize project management systems like Workfront
  • Ability to utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn other platforms such as CRM
  • Strengthening skills in business writing
  • Strengthening analytical skills to provide insight and best practices for improving marketing programs and events based on results/data
  • Understanding of key issues, industries, lines of business and geographies that are within the firm


EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of equivalent experience

  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple programs simultaneously through to completion
