Veradigm Life Sciences is current looking for an Expert RWE Communications Lead to complement its growing team of healthcare analysts, data scientists and researchers to collaborate on healthcare database analyses and product development. As a member of the RWE team, this position will have end-to-end responsibility in managing all written deliverables produced by the team, including final reports, white papers, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. There is room to grow in this role as additional need for medical writing is identified across the Veradigm Life Sciences portfolio.

Overview

The Expert Communications Lead collaborates with members of cross-functional teams to prepare and disseminate high quality written deliverables that communicate complex ideas, methodologies, and results to clients and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, edits, and finalizes study protocols, final reports, white papers, conference abstracts and posters, manuscripts, and other scientific written deliverables as needed
  • Participates in deliverable-related scientific communication planning meetings with clients; assists in the identification of suitable conferences and/or scientific journals for dissemination of project results
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., clinicians, researchers, biostatisticians, study analysts) to interpret study results and ensure study results and statistical interpretations are accurately and clearly reflected in the deliverable
  • Conducts scientific literature reviews to support the preparation of background and discussion sections
  • Schedules and conducts internal and external document-related meetings
  • Manages the internal and external document review process enduring conflicting and/or ambiguous comments are clarified and appropriately addressed
  • Works with the study team to reach consensus on timelines for deliverables; completes documents according to agreed-upon timelines and follows up with the study team as needed to meet internal and external timeline commitments
  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions for preparation and maintenance of written deliverables
  • Ensures documents are generated in accordance with agreed internal processes and standards, are submission ready, and are appropriately stored in agreed document management system
  • Ensures that appropriately documented quality control (QC) checks are performed on medical writing deliverables, responds to findings, and recommends quality process improvements
  • Suggests or identifies changes, modifications, and improvements to the document preparation processes and templates in order to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity
  • Mentors junior staff in the preparation of written deliverables



Qualifications:

Masters degree in a relevant field of study (health sciences, health economics, public health, epidemiology, or other quantitative discipline).

Experience:

A successful applicant should have at least 5+ years of experience in a medical writing role in the healthcare space, preferably in life sciences (RWE, HEOR, epidemiology) and a proven track record of disseminating knowledge via professional congresses and peer-reviewed publications.

Ideally, the candidate can demonstrate an ability to simultaneously work across multiple priorities for various stakeholders.

Applicants should be ready to work in a highly collaborative environment and have a great attitude (e.g., team-focused, loves to get things done).

Travel Requirements:

No usual travel.

Working Arrangements:

Work can be performed in a standard office environment or in a home office setting.

Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment with Allscripts.
