The Director, Portfolio Product Marketing leads a small team who deeply understands our customers, our market-leading portfolio of products, and educational topics. This team creates portfolio marketing plans, manages release planning and communication across the i-Ready platform, and develops cross functional campaigns surrounding thought leadership topics in education. You will work closely with product marketing to articulate how our entire portfolio of solutions helps schools and educators address some of their biggest challenges.
With strong written and presentation skills, a passion for serving educators, the ability to synthesize complex technical details and sensitively address some of the biggest topics in education, you will also align closely with our product, leadership, and field teams.
A strong collaborator, with an eye for detail combined with the ability to tell "big picture" stories, and the proven ability to articulate complex technical products, you are an analytical and creative problem solver, with project, people, and process management skills to ensure timely delivery of projects and information.
The impact you'll have:
Share the voice of the decisionmaker and educator

  • Research, understand and articulate the needs of our decision makers, such as district administrators, curriculum directors, and school principals, as well as front-line educators
  • Consolidate market & customer insights from across the company to drive business goals and messaging. Coach team to create and share Buyer Personas, Buyers Journey maps, and clearly articulate customer needs across the organization
  • Provide insight to the product development team about educator and market needs


Create best-in-class product positioning, messaging & differentiation

  • Ensure core product platform information and assets, including competitor battlecards, are available for use across marketing and sales, to an agreed schedule, for agreed products / platforms
  • Create and share cross-portfolio messaging to clearly, accurately, and succinctly articulate how Curriculum Associates can help with trending topics and concerns in K12 education
  • Identify and ensure internal alignment on "big picture" trends and topics, and work cross-functionally across product marketing to articulate how Curriculum Associates helps customers address their challenges


GTM Strategy & Planning

  • This role supports a small team with a particular focus on release planning communications and co-ordination, requiring understanding of Agile software development processes, with strong project management and alignment skills
  • Work closely with product management team to understand roadmaps
  • Create compelling assets that connect product features to benefits and help educators understand how product improvements drive gains for students
  • Develop detailed product knowledge in our assessment and instructional products
  • Create, share, and adapt product launch & release plans


Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with field and creative teams to amplify our voice in market
  • Brief impactful campaigns
  • Collaborate on content creation
  • Partner with Sales Enablement
  • Support strategic sales initiatives, driving new business and customer retention
  • Ensure our field teams are fully prepared to support our educational partners
  • Work across the organization, particularly product teams, on market research, including dissemination of critical customer insights and analysis (thought leadership)
  • Coach, manage, develop, and support a talented, passionate, and committed team to help customers and succeed in their careers.
