Job summary
The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Communications Strategist to join us. In this role, you will improve existing sales communication channels and develop new channels to communicate globally-relevant information to sales and services associates, including updates and announcements related to various global sales initiatives. You will message to reinforce modernized go-to-market strategies and support the Sales and Services team's operating model. You will write, edit, and publish content and use metrics to ensure that targeted audiences receive and understand key messages. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Partner with corporate functions, business teams, and regional teams across Red Hat to assess, improve, and develop communication plans that are cross-functionally aligned and fulfill the business needs of the sales team
  • Write content for communications projects and campaigns
  • Manage a global sales communications editorial calendar
  • Create the information architecture for digital content for the Global Sales team
  • Make sure that digital content targeted to sales audiences is consistent, accurate, and up-to-date
  • Serve as the voice of Red Hat's sales associates and advocate for ways to improve the internal sales communications experience
  • Participate in the extended communications team and groups of formal communicators to create a highly connected network of internal communicators to promote best practices, share strategies, and gain a better understanding of communication activities throughout the company


Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of change or communications consulting experience
  • Experience designing communications plans based on change management practices
  • Understanding of writing for the web and managing digital content and internet or intranet pages
  • Proven writing and editing skills with an ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, direct, and lively style
  • Ability to connect in a simplified yet impactful way
  • Ability to understand your audiences and observe their sentiment
  • Ability to work in an often ambiguous, rapidly changing environment with minimal supervision; ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Creativity and willingness to help to bring our culture to life in the way that we communicate and represent our organization
