Job Description About AWM Marketing and Communications

Through the use of data and analytics, they create and deliver marketing campaigns or servicing messages through our websites, mobile apps, and paid media channels based on what is best for the customer.
The Role
The Marketing Associate is a member of the U.S. Funds Channel Marketing team, which focuses on understanding client needs and building integrated marketing strategies with sales teams and the Global Strategic Relationships team. The Marketing Associate will report to the Institutional Advisor Channel Marketing Director and help support and deliver on the marketing initiatives targeted to this line of business and focus clients.
Key Responsibilities
This position is responsible for projects and initiatives within the Institutional Advisor (IA) channel, working to deliver against the sales and business goals of the channel. The key responsibilities of the job include:

  • Work with the IA Marketing Director to execute on the marketing plans and initiatives identified for the channel, leveraging all of the marketing "levers" to amplify voice and presence in market.
  • Help lead large-scale marketing initiatives, partnering with Sales, Investment Specialists, Event Program Management, Training, and Shared Services teams. Initiatives include advertising, web, social media, industry conferences, internal events, market research, thought-leadership, and major sales programs to build awareness and grow the business.
  • Interact closely with the National Sales and Global Strategic Relationship teams to develop and deliver on the marketing strategies defined.
  • Assist with internal and client events (in-person and digital)-from coordination to follow-up programs.
  • Project management - proactively manage client-specific marketing projects and broad initiatives.
  • Assist IA Marketing Director with BAU tasks and projects to enable IA Marketing Director to focus on high-level, strategic activities.
  • Act as "point person" with questions/research/solutions for sales teams
  • Leverage digital outreach activities and identify ways in which we can apply at firm level and client segmentation.
  • Assist in measurement/reporting of marketing activities-helping to quantify successes/develop action steps/identify lessons learned/best practices.
  • Serve as a back up to other Marketing Associates on the team.
  • Understand and navigate the marketing platforms required to execute the role.

Minimum job requirements

  • 3 + years relevant experience (marketing / project management experience preferred)
  • College degree in marketing or related field
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Workfront preferred.
  • Analytical skills to help track, measure and interpret success/strategy of marketing programs.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Strong execution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with senior management and sales organizations.
  • Understanding and experience of Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools, ideally Salesforce.
