Job Description
RightNow Media is seeking a Marketing Video Specialist to join our Creative team in McKinney, TX, reporting to the Creative Director. This is a video role first: a skilled editor and storyteller whose specialty is marketing video. You’ll keep our promos and ads fresh across every brand and audience, bring new energy to how our series show up on social, and help capture the authentic stories of the churches and organizations we serve.
You know what makes a marketing video work and the difference between what performs as a paid ad and what works in an organic feed. You’ll draw on a deep library of professionally produced content, working closely with our Growth and Retention Marketing teams, who own our channels and campaigns, and with our Production team, where you’ll have a close working relationship and ready access to the footage they create.
Responsibilities
- Promos & Ads
- Edit polished, on-brand promo videos and ads that feature multiple series and speakers, with strong pacing, well-chosen music, motion graphics, and on-screen text
- Deliver each promo in multiple lengths (:15, :30, :60, and long-form) and aspect ratios (16:9, 1:1, 4:5, 9:16) for each of our brand.
- Create versions for key audiences, including Black church, Spanish-speaking, and women’s ministry audiences, so each feels made for the people it’s meant to reach.
- Refresh the full library of promos and ads on a regular cycle (roughly every six months) so our marketing always reflects current content\
- Build and maintain the systems that make this sustainable: a cataloged clip library (by series, speaker, theme, and audience), reusable motion graphics and caption templates, and an organized music library
- Turn requests around quickly for Growth Marketing and our agency partners, including variants for testing hooks, openers, and lengths
- Engagement & Organic Social
- Create fresh organic social content for new releases and evergreen series, keeping our most popular series, including older ones, in front of audiences well beyond their launch window
- Produce videos for our Brand Asset Management (BAM) library, which equips churches and businesses to promote RightNow Media and RightNow Media @Work to their congregants and employees
- Repurpose existing material (series footage, podcasts, webinars, and conference sessions) into platform-native clips
- Use AI-assisted tools to find, clip, transcribe, reformat, and caption content efficiently, matching the level of polish to the purpose of each piece
- Story Capture & Original Content
- Plan and lead occasional customer testimonial shoots, shooting solo or with support from the Production team
- Capture behind-the-scenes and speaker interview footage at series shoots for use in marketing and social
- Edit captured footage into finished testimonial, story, and behind-the-scenes pieces
- Collaboration & Workflow
- Partner with Growth and Retention Marketing, who own our channels, campaigns, and performance reporting; translate their goals into video and use the performance data they share to sharpen future work
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Production team: attend select Production meetings, stay ahead of the upcoming release schedule, and draw on their footage, equipment, and expertise
- Collaborate with the Creative team’s graphic and web designers to keep all video aligned with brand standards
- Keep files, footage, and naming conventions organized so assets are easy for anyone on the team to find
- Support other video needs across Marketing as priorities allow
Required Competencies
- Skilled Video Craftsperson: High-level editing skill with a strong sense of pacing, music, motion graphics, and fit-and-finish; makes multi-speaker promos feel polished and on-brand.
- Marketing Video Expert: Knows what works and what doesn’t in marketing video: hooks in the first five seconds, caption placement across aspect ratios, and the right format and length for each placement. Understands that what works for ads may not work for organic social, and vice versa.
- Systems-Minded, AI-Savvy Creator: Thinks in templates, catalogs, and repeatable workflows and uses AI-assited tools to find, format, and caption content efficiently; knows when a piece needs full craft and when speed matters more (versioning, refreshing across brands and audiences).
- Creative Storyteller: Draws out authentic stories from customers and speakers, and turns footage, interviews, and everyday moments into video that connects with viewers.
- Analytical Iterator: Wants to know how the work performed; uses data from marketing and agency partners to inform future creative decisions.
- Adaptive, Emotionally Intelligent Team Player: Builds trust and credibility across teams; serves multiple internal partners and balances competing requests with humility and empathy; communicates clearly and is comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback.
- Organized Self-Starter: Highly organized and resourceful; takes initiative without waiting to be told what’s next, while keeping the right people informed along the way.
