About OpenAI

OpenAI is an AI research and deployment company committed to ensuring that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. We push the boundaries of AI capabilities while prioritizing safety, responsible deployment, and human needs. Our mission requires a team that represents a diversity of perspectives, voices, and experiences.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced JAPAC Marketing Operations Lead to build the operational foundations that connect regional B2B marketing activity to customer engagement, sales progression, and measurable business impact.

This role serves as a critical bridge between global marketing and revenue operations and GEO B2B leaders, ensuring field leadership drives optimized customer journeys, measurement frameworks, and performance impact. It will deliver country level performance reporting and insights.

Embedded in JAPAC’s GTM strategy, you will work closely with country marketing leads, GTM leaders, and Sales Operations to translate business priorities into a regional operations roadmap. You will represent JAPAC’s requirements with global Marketing Operations, ensuring that technology, data, and process decisions support local sales motions, customer journeys, and growth priorities.

This is a hands-on role spanning the customer journey—from audience acquisition and database health through campaign execution, lead management, and performance reporting. You will combine technical fluency, analytical judgment, and strong cross-functional collaboration to help regional teams launch faster, improve follow-up, and understand what drives results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the regional operations roadmap. Partner with JAPAC Marketing, GTM, and Sales Operations to consolidate country requirements, prioritize improvements against business goals, and represent regional needs in global MarkOps planning.

  • Manage regional marketing technology operations. Oversee the regional use of marketing automation, CRM, and event and webinar platforms. Work with global MarkOps and systems teams to troubleshoot issues, improve integrations, and validate changes across markets.

  • Build a healthier, more actionable database. Partner with GTM on priority-account and contact acquisition, enrichment, segmentation, and data quality. Improve opt-in coverage and marketability while maintaining appropriate consent and data-handling practices.

  • Own campaign setup, lead management, and sales handoffs. Set up and quality-check campaigns in marketing automation and CRM systems, including audience lists, registration forms, campaign tracking, and lead-capture workflows. Ensure leads from field events, webinars, and other campaigns enter the agreed qualification and routing processes. Work with Sales Operations, AEs, and SDRs to conduct regular reviews of untouched marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and resolve routing or follow-up gaps.

  • Connect the customer journey. Work with regional marketers and global MarkOps to connect acquisition, engagement, nurture, and sales touchpoints, making relevant customer signals available to the teams that need to act on them.

  • Standardize campaign execution. Develop reusable templates, workflows, and quality checks that help field marketers launch campaigns quickly and consistently, with documented adaptations for local requirements.

  • Partner with Legal/Privacy and global MarkOps to embed market-specific data privacy and regulatory requirements across JAPAC into consent management, audience acquisition, campaign execution, and data handling.

  • Measure campaign performance and impact. Establish reliable reporting for field programs, local events, webinars, and account-based marketing. Apply shared measurement and attribution definitions to assess engagement, conversion, pipeline contribution, and ROI where the data supports it.

  • Enable regional teams. Train marketers on tools, campaign processes, data quality, and applicable privacy and compliance requirements. Provide practical support during JAPAC working hours and coordinate specialist guidance where needed. Partner with Sales Operations to jointly enable GTM teams on lead follow-up processes, ownership, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

  • Improve automation and operating efficiency. Identify repetitive work and partner with global teams to introduce dependable automation and AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual handoffs and improve execution.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing operations, marketing technology, revenue operations, or a closely related function.

  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms, including Marketo and Salesforce, Adobe Experience Platform and familiarity with event or webinar technology.

  • Demonstrated experience improving database quality, segmentation, lead lifecycle processes, scoring, routing, and marketing-to-sales handoffs.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in campaign reporting, funnel analysis, attribution, and translating findings into operational improvements.

  • Experience supporting multiple markets and balancing global standards with regional business requirements.

  • Proven ability to work closely with Marketing, GTM, Sales Operations, and technical teams, influencing priorities and driving work through to completion.

  • Sound judgment around consent, customer data, privacy, and operational quality.

Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting JAPAC markets, including local campaign execution and collaboration across languages and time zones.

  • Experience with ABM, buying-group engagement, and enterprise, developer, or startup audiences.

  • Familiarity with data integrations, APIs, and customer engagement or product-usage signals.

  • Practical experience building or improving AI-enabled workflows and automation.

OpenAI is an equal opportunity employer, and we value thoughtful builders who bring curiosity, rigor, and care to complex work. If you are excited to help build effective, measurable marketing operations across JAPAC, we would love to hear from you.
