The ROYAL CANIN Marketing Specialist, as part of a team of business unit marketers, will help support the development and execution of annual product launches, campaign initiatives, and ongoing asset development for the Healthy Pet portfolio. This is a key supporting role with responsibilities over key projects and processes required to drive our business forward.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree, with preference in business or marketing required
- 3+ years of experience within Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or Brand Management roles.
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and give direction to both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to function as a team player in an open office environment
- Understanding of key tools like project management & regulatory review software (e.x. SmartSheet)
- Previous Project management experience nice to have
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Lead coordination of day-to-day activities between the marketing team and appropriate external agency partners that lead to the completion of projects and tasks.
- Help ensure open communication and smooth workflow between cross-functional divisions (e.g., sales, creative) including creative & regulatory approvals.
- Manage and track timelines, work streams and deliverables for tactical marketing executions.
- Ensure project management tracking is on time and up to date.
- Deliver projects on time and in full, with timely updates along the way.
- Develop Marketing Purchase Order Requisitions and Receive/Track (as applicable).
- Own creative budget and allocation of projects to agencies as appropriate, including but not limited to quote requests, briefings and relationship management.
- Create and analyze coupons, resulting in recommendations for the marketing team.
- Partner with Sales to understand field needs, resulting in creation of at-a-glance and product guide updates.
- Support marketing research, sales, supply chain/distribution, and legal in the development of product launches and marketing campaigns and initiatives, as needed.
- Write and edit copy for sales, educational and promotional tools produced by in-house creative team, as needed.
- Strong marketing (shopper, retail media) & brand management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage projects.
- Need to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders (including agency), both written & verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships (Strong listening skills, attention to detail, persuasive, and communication skills)
- Creative thinker and problem solver with a passion for business planning and knowledge of a wide variety of promotional vehicles. (traditional in-store and digital)
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights, strong analytical skills and a passion for cats and dogs.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).
