Function:

Goodwill Industries is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist – Creative Services to support the organization's website, photography, digital asset management, and light graphic design needs. Working under the direction of the Creative Services Manager, this role helps maintain the organization's digital presence, supports visual content creation, and ensures marketing assets are organized, accessible, and brand consistent. This position is ideal for a digitally skilled marketer with a blend of web, photography, and design abilities who thrives on variety and wants to grow within a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Administration & Content Management

  • Publishes content to the organization's website and landing pages in support of marketing initiatives, campaigns, fundraising, retail promotions, mission services, and organizational priorities.
  • Develops and updates landing pages, blog pages, and other website content under the direction of the Creative Services Manager.
  • Assists with website maintenance, quality assurance, content updates, and ongoing improvements.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure website content remains accurate, meets accessibility standards, and is aligned with organizational needs.
  • Supports search engine optimization (SEO) best practices through content formatting, metadata management, and website publishing standards.

Photography & Visual Content

  • Supports photography efforts for marketing campaigns, storytelling, community events, mission programs, retail operations, and internal communications.
  • Plans, captures, edits, and organizes photography assets for web, social media, presentations, email campaigns, digital signage, and other marketing channels.
  • Maintains photo archives with proper naming conventions, metadata, and accessibility for future use.

Graphic Design Support

  • Produces and updates digital graphics for web, email, social, and presentations using existing brand templates and style guides.
  • Assists the Creative Services Manager with resizing, formatting, and versioning visual assets for campaigns, events, and multichannel use.
  • Supports retail signage, flyers, posters, and promotional materials as needed, working within established templates.
  • Ensures all visual content complies with brand standards, accessibility requirements, and organizational guidelines.

Creative Operations & Asset Management

  • Maintains the organization of digital assets, archives, file structures, naming conventions, and archival practices.
  • Assists with project tracking, production scheduling, and quality control.
  • Reviews creative materials for accuracy, completeness, and brand compliance.

Video Production

  • Supports the marketing team with long-form video production as bandwidth allows, including planning, recording, editing, and publishing content for YouTube, websites, and internal communications.
  • Coordinates with the social media specialist to repurpose long-form video into short-form social content.

Marketing Team Support

  • Assists with marketing projects and special initiatives as assigned.
  • Collaborates with team members to execute integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital, web, social media, retail, and community channels.
  • Supports special events, retail promotions, fundraising efforts, mission initiatives, and organizational awareness campaigns through creative design and production.
  • Provides creative support to internal departments while maintaining alignment with organizational priorities and brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in website content management, digital marketing, photography, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with WordPress.
  • Experience with photography and photo editing software (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console).
  • Basic proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe CC, Canva).
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Bonus: Experience with video editing is a plus.

Special Requirements:

  • This position is safety-sensitive and requires drug testing.
  • This role may require access to facility keys and alarm systems.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events, campaigns, and photography needs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage, and a privately owned, reliable means of transportation.
  • Travel between Florida's Gulf Coast and East Coast locations may be required on a limited basis to support photography projects, marketing initiatives, and organizational activities.

Skills Required
