This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days of in-office collaboration per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) in either our San Francisco Hub or our New York City Hub.

About the Job

The Taskrabbit marketing team plays a critical role in driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. As the Social Media & Influencer Specialist, you will build Taskrabbit’s brand personality across social media, building a distinct presence that drives brand affinity and helps achieve business goals. In this role, you will manage and execute a robust content strategy across organic social channels, including content creator and influencer partnerships.

The ideal candidate for this role is both creative and strategic, a master wordsmith with quick wit, and passionate about building and engaging online communities. At the core, you live and breathe social media and have a pulse on all the latest cultural and social industry trends. You have a passion for content creation, pushing the boundaries and taking smart risks to deliver results. 

As a core member of the Marketing team, this individual will work with key stakeholders across creative, paid, owned and earned channels, and partner closely with our Brand & Social Media Lead on cross-functional campaigns and social-led initiatives. This role will report directly to the Director of Brand & Creative.

Responsibilities

  • Possess a deep passion for crafting social content, a keen eye for visual storytelling, and a thorough understanding of social media trends and strategies to drive strong engagement
  • Manage content calendar across Taskrabbit’s organic social media channels, including but not limited to brainstorming, copywriting, planning, scheduling, and publishing 
  • Own and execute content strategy by creating still and video content for organic social channels
  • Actively monitor organic social media mentions and identify opportunities to engage with Taskrabbit users, influencers, and other brands
  • Analyze and report on the performance of social content and incorporate insights into future content decisions
  • Spearhead social-first campaigns and collaborate with internal (Creative, PR, CRM, etc) teams on integrated distribution strategies
  • Support Social Media Lead with end-to-end influencer and content creator partnerships, including sourcing, negotiation, developing briefs, and reviewing/approving content.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter (X), Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and general social media best practices
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to develop engaging platform-native short- and long-form content 
  • Ability to ideate and concept original content ideas both independently and in collaboration with team members
  • Problem solver attitude, with demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to ambiguous problems
  • Analytical mindset with keen ability to measure and demonstrate business impact 
  • Strong collaborator, with excellent written and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable.  total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.

The base pay range for this position is $72,000 - $96,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
