ABOUT THE ROLE

ALX Africa is looking for a Pathway Marketing Specialist to drive learners’ recruitment for our Moroccan Market. As the Marketing Specialist for Pathway, you will be responsible for: 

  • Manage Digital Campaigns: Oversee alongside the agency the digital marketing initiatives such as influencers, media buying, and social content.
  • Engage in Content Creation: Develop clear, engaging content tailored to young audiences on both Instagram and TikTok and one for their parents on Facebook, Youtube and Instagram.
  • Coordinate Offline Marketing: Implement on-ground outreach strategies such as events, school presentations, and informational sessions to engage our target audience.
  • School Partnerships: Coordinate with the Partnership Manager to develop and nurture relationships with schools to increase awareness and establish Pathway as a leading opportunity provider for their students.
  • Ambassador Program: Create and manage a network of student ambassadors who can promote Pathway within their schools and communities.
  • Nurture Prospective Applicants: Build and sustain engagement with potential learners and their families, providing ongoing support and information to encourage enrollment.
  • Parent Communication: Tailor messaging to resonate with parents, addressing their questions and demonstrating the program’s value for their children’s futures.
  • Market Analysis: Track recruitment performance and analyze data to refine strategies, ensuring effective reach and enrollment growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must-have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, recruitment, or program management, ideally within education or youth-oriented programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multi-channel marketing initiatives across digital (social media, email campaigns) and offline (events, school outreach) channels.
  • Experience in event planning and offline outreach, including organizing school presentations, ambassador programs, and community engagement activities.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills, able to interpret engagement metrics and adjust recruitment strategies based on insights.
  • Demonstrated experience nurturing leads, with an ability to engage and convert young audiences.
  • Strong content creation skills, with an ability to direct creative direction for materials for both digital and offline marketing tailored to diverse audiences.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in fast-paced, mission-driven organizations or startups.
  • Knowledge of youth trends and behaviors to tailor campaigns effectively to target audiences.
  • Background in building partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations.
  • Creative storytelling and copywriting abilities to craft compelling messaging.
  • Previous experience managing ambassador or influencer programs.

Due to the considerable amount of virtual working and interaction with colleagues and customers in different physical locations internationally, it is essential that the successful applicant has the drive and ethic to succeed working in small teams physically but in larger efforts virtually. Self-drive to communicate constantly using web collaboration and video conferencing is essential. As an employee, you will be encouraged to continually develop your capability & attain certifications to reflect your growth as an individual.
