Your Opportunity:

The Marketing Specialist I coordinates and implements marketing communications projects; supports the planning and execution of trade shows, special events, and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging.  They create consistent themes, messaging, and branding in all communication touch points, including advertising and social media;  and sources and develops content and visual collateral for campaigns. They track projects and prepares status reports for stakeholders. Liaises with the media, vendors, and internal sales and product teams. Support the needs of all trade shows, distributor business meetings and conventions, as required.

Work Location: 
  • This opportunity is based out of Orrville, Ohio.   The current team works 5-days on campus. Fully remote is not available for this opportunity.

  • Typical office environment as it pertains to lighting, temperature, and noise level when in administrative/operations offices.

What Will You Do? Key Responsibilities:  

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

Lead Management:
  • Oversee all incoming leads - from pre-qualification and profile-building in the Ventrac network, to dealer assignment, plus follow up through the sales process.

  • Optimize lead generation through management of all incoming platforms, as well as reporting lead stats.

  • Distribute physical marketing material for lead inquiries.

  • Work alongside the marketing team to craft strategic initiatives focused on driving customer interaction and lead growth.

Customer Service:
  • Receive phone calls and provide product support for current and prospective customers.

  • Monitor and respond to customer inquires via the info@Ventrac inbox. 

Brand Support:
  • Social media interaction:  monitor comments and messages, respond to inquiries, and relay helpful insights to the marketing and product teams. 

  • Tradeshow planning:  help the marketing and training teams to develop and execute plans including logistics, content, equipment strategy, and show insights.

  • Participate in marketing activities, both in-office and on-site in the field.

  • Operation of equipment during video shoots (optional, not required). 

  • Support various sales and marketing initiatives focused on driving engagement with both internal teams and external brand participants.

What Do You Need?  

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Completed HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • 2+ years’ experience in  marketing related duties and tasks required, such as:  digital marketing campaigns with Google, Facebook or agency level.  

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, exhibit initiative and be a team player fully supportive of division and company objectives and culture.

  • Strong customer orientation, including experience with Voice of Customer.

  • Passion for providing market-leading products on time and within project scope.

  • Working knowledge and experience in graphic arts, digital advertising and production.

  • Familiar with marketing automation, social media marketing, and web analytics.

Preferred:   
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the fields of marketing, business or engineering.

  • Excellent computer skills including CRM Software and/or SAP, preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in one of the following industries:  Manufacturing, Farming, Automotive, and/or  outdoor power equipment industry preferred.

  • Competitive Salary A reasonable salary estimate is $60,000-$70,000  for this opportunity.   The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
