Position SummaryThe Marketing Sales Representative (MSR) goal will be to build a rapport with their retailers, which will make they full business partners in all marketing, sales, promotional, merchandising, and public relations activities designed to stimulate increased sales among on-line and instant retailers alike.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Sales, Marketing and Merchandising
- Develop marketing and sales programs customized to meet the specific needs of each retailer.
- Provide information on each new game introduction and demonstrate how the game is played prior to launch.
- Make recommendations on the placement of the Extrema terminals for maximum visibility, player convenience and retailer convenience to increase sales.
- Provide detailed instruction on effective merchandising techniques for all retailers.
- Communicate to all retailers the most effective product positioning, advertising and promotional programs that support current and new games.
- Provide extensive training to all retailers on the operation of Lottery terminals and how to use suggestive sales techniques to enhance the retailer’s business.
Promotions
- Attend and participate in Lottery promotional functions. MSR will be able to cash promotional tickets, sell "live" tickets and undertake other responsibilities as necessary during the promotional event.
- Evaluate results of consumer and retailer promotional activities for each promotion conducted.
Sales Analysis and Planning
- Develop and implement measurable plans based upon data analysis. These plans should be specific, measurable, and actionable.
- Develop programs customized to motivate all retailers, and especially under-performing retailers.
- Present reports demonstrate the impact that the promotions have on the retailer’s business.
General Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a business relationship with all assigned Lotería Electrónica retailers.
- Manage and maintain territorial account base of approximately 120 (average) Lotería Electrónica retailers to provide customer service to these retailers and their customers, Lottery players.
- Report on daily territory activity, sales reports, and vehicle reports. Organize and maintain company vehicles. Restock vehicle as needed to always ensure adequate inventory of materials.
- Recover all unsold marketing materials, equipment, and other Lottery property from canceled/terminated retailer locations.
- Work with the Telemarketing staff to ensure proper product inventory levels.
- Act as liaison with SGI and lottery accounting departments to ensure that adequate bookkeeping methods are utilized and assist in resolving accounting problems.
- Work on weekends as needed to ticket stock, marketing materials and/or conduct promotions as necessary.
- Convey positive image of the Lotería Electrónica in use of all equipment and display of point of sale, etc.
- Identify public relations opportunities (e.g., Lottery winners, successful retailers) and coordinate activities with the appropriate Lottery staff.
- Take advantage of all opportunities provided by SGI and the Lotería Electrónica to increase marketing and sales knowledge thereby improving marketing expertise. This includes attendance at all required MSR and retailer training sessions.
- Ability to coordinate all activities in the field and new ideas through the Sales Supervisor.
All other duties as assigned.

- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Computer oriented.

- Available to travel throughout Puerto Rico.
- Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license and clean driving record
Working Conditions:
Work frequently under pressure. The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: 40% sitting, 25% walking, and 40% driving. Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and /or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. This job is in a generally clean and healthy environment. Work frequently outside of the company facilities and regularly must work odd schedules.
